Maestronome
Maestronome
In the music education world, we turn on the
metronome when beginners enter our programs, and we leave it on for
a couple of years. Then we turn it off and try to teach them
to watch for tempo cues. Maestronome is an option that
far exceeds our normal practices. It teaches students to
watch for tempo from the first day. Maestronome . . .
1. Provides visual cues for tempo.
* Teaches students to watch from the
very earliest stages.
2. Is easily followed from all angles.
3. Is great for ensemble drill.
4. Allows the director to rehearse from anywhere in the
room.
5. Lets the director hear from within every section.
6. Points out ensemble indifference to the conductor.
7. Available in every meter.
8. Adjustable to any tempo.
It is fun!
Maestronome is used as
a developmental tool within the Elementary, Secondary, and
Accelerated RhythmBee Programs. It is also available as a
stand alone "virtual conductor," allowing the director to be
anywhere in the room while rehearsing the ensemble.
