The Secondary Plan (6-12)
RhythmBee
is the leader in Automated
Rhythm Instruction. Our program does the teaching and allows the
teacher to watch and hear every student perform. That process helps
every student become musically literate and prepare to be an
enthusiastic and competent participant in middle school music
ensembles.
What to do and when to do
it.
Instrumental programs
often have a lax period of time before students acquire
instruments. The RhythmBee program provides
eighteen units that are designed specifically for this period of
time.
Following that time, daily use of
this program will allow the class to complete an average of two
units per week for a total of ninety units in a single school year.
Consistent review and reinforcement within each instructional unit
offers every student unlimited opportunities for learning each
skill.
Multiple assessment opportunities
are available within this material, including careful preparation
for a RhythmBee
Festival. Purchase of this program allows each school to receive
free consultation and advice concerning culminating activities such
as a RhythmBee Festival. Students
find these activities to be fun and invigorating events in which
they demonstrate what they have learned in a public forum very much
like the well-known Spelling Bee.
Rhythm literacy is base level music
literacy and the key to every other element of music literacy. With
a thorough understanding of rhythm and the ability to perform
rhythms well, each student can approach the other elements of
printed music with confidence.
